EPIC Youth Group

We are EPIC!

  Literally, that is the new youth group name chosen by the youth! EPIC stands for Every Person In Christ!  That is not just a name that is a great goal for us as community and for our youth that every person would be in Christ and have a relationship with him!

 According to the dictionary, Epic means very impressive or surpassing the usual or ordinary.  That is exactly what this new youth group is!  It is four churches coming together saying we need our youth to know Jesus.  It is the start of Jesus moving through our church, our communities, and our lives.  Anything with Jesus is never ordinary, no with Him we can be EPIC!

 With Jesus we can make a huge impact on this community! We can make a difference in the lives of our family, our neighbors, and strangers we met.  But to do that we first need to make sure that Jesus is epic in our own lives.  By simply asking Jesus to be our Savior a transformation begins that through reading his word, prayers, and worship we begin to shine like Jesus!  Now that is EPIC!
Along with a new name we have also chosen our mission, vision and beliefs.  Our overall mission is to first make Jesus known to the youth and then help them become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.  How we are going to go about completing that goal is through our vision.

Vision:To work as a body of Christ to create programs and events that:

promote Christian relationships between adults and students and students with students produces an environment that is welcoming, safe, fun, and full of Christ's love
 teaches and encourage students in their walk with Christ
calls students to grow in their faith by using their gifts and talents and through volunteering
Also for all parents, students, or community members interested in getting involved we have a list of core beliefs that all teachings, events, programs, etc will be based on. 
God is Love revealed to all the world in Jesus Christ.
Jesus died for our sins and through his gift we can receive eternal life
God's gift will be made known to our students and through acceptance they can grow in a personal relationship with Jesus, centered on worship, prayer, and Biblical learning.
The Bible is God's true word and it has instruction on how to live life
Love is the center of who we are and it is what we are called to live out in our lives by reaching out to others
Ezekiel 38:23 states "And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations.  Then they will know that I am the LORD."
Our Lord is EPIC how can our youth group not be EPIC!
