   The sewing group is collecting sweaters to be donated at Thanksgiving to Lutheran World Relief.  If you have gently used sweaters that you would like to donate please place them in the collection box in the education unit.

Recently, some small items have been stolen from the church building.  As a result, we are putting more of our equipment in locked rooms and locking the Main Street Sanctuary entrance during the week.  The sacristy will now also be a locked room, with a traveling key for the Altar Guild.  Members may still access the building at any time through the education wing entrance.

 Women of the ELCA?the Fall Assembly for Western Iowa Synod, cluster 6 (which includes Rockwell city) will be Saturday, August 14, 2010 at St. Paul, Manson.  Registration is at 8:45 am, brunch at 9:00 am.  The cost for the brunch is $4.00 per person.  Please let Margaret Berner know  by Thursday, August 5th if you plan to attend.  This is not a leadership training session. Everyone is welcome.

  Tuesday, August 17 St. Paul's will be hosting a blood drive.  It will be from 2-5:30 pm in the Sunday School rooms.

 Roof Update: To date we have received $8850.00 in cash donations.  We have received  $3300.00  in pledges for future payment. The total cost of the roof is $36,500.00

 Women f the ELCA, Twin Lakes Fall Retreat, Cluster 6, 7 & 8 on Wednesday, September 8 from 8:30?3:00 pm at the Twin Lake Christian center.  "Live Life Laughingly" Retreat Leader-Pastor Laura Gentry.  Cost is $20 per person, registration is due by August 24.

 St. Paul's council meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 10.  Committee meetings will be held at 6 with the council meeting to follow at 7 pm.

 If you would like to worship with the Church of Damascus Road, please contact Diane Vavak.  They meet at North Central Correctional facility on Thursdays at 6 pm.  You must be added to the list 2 weeks ahead of time.

 The Nelons form Florida will present a concert of Southern Gospel Music at eth Manson Mennonite church in Manson on Sunday, August 15 at 6:00 pm. Everyone is invited to hear one of America's most loved mixed groups! There will be a free will offering.

 Homemade Ice Cream Socials starting Sunday, July 11 and continuing every Sunday through August 29th at the Lohrville United Methodist Church Basement from 5:30-7:00 pm.
