Current Missionaries:

     Our current missionaries are Jean Wahlstrom and Marvin Kananen who are serving in Monduli, Tanzania.  Here is a current photo of them that they emailed to us: 

Jean is the Mentor of Christian Education at the Maasai Girls Lutheran Secondary School in Monduli, teaches Bible studies, leads worship services, develops women's leadership for Christian ministry among students and staff, and nurtures their spiritual life.

Marvin works with English teachers in the Arusha diocese, records the history and individual stories of the students, assists in the library establishment, assists leadership of Arusha AA program, and writes Bible studies.

They are from Bellevue, WA, serving through 1B, Northwest Washington Synod.  They have been married since 1990.  God bless!
